The Carved Rock "Moonlight Filtering Through the Stone Gate" is a cultural relic protection unit of Fu’an City.

The Carved Rock "Moonlight Filtering Through the Stone Gate" is located in Shimenyuan Village, Chengyang Town, Fu’an City. Dating back to the 11th year of the Tongzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1872), it falls under the category of rock carvings.

It is located 400 meters west of Shimenyuan Village in Chengyang Town. Carved in the 11th year of the Tongzhi reign (1872), the formation consists of two massive natural rocks leaning against each other to form a gate, hence the name "Stone Gate." A mountain stream flows through the gate, covering a total area of about 130 square meters. On the northern rock, the seal script characters "漏月" ("Moonlight Filtering") are inscribed along with smaller regular script characters that read: "The 11th year of the Tongzhi reign, in the year of Ren Shen, during the eighth month and auspicious day / Huang Jinzhang, together with Chen Chunlin, Guo Fulian, Gu Li, Guo Peitang, visited and asked Li Jian to inscribe this." On the southern rock, the seal script characters "石门" ("Stone Gate") are engraved in the center, both inscriptions measuring 0.6×0.56 meters. It is the best-preserved site among the historically significant "Ten Scenic Spots of Hanyang" in our city. Currently managed by the Shimenyuan Village Committee, it holds certain value for the study of the city’s historical landscapes and cultural heritage.

On February 20, 2013, the Fu’an Municipal People’s Government designated it as a cultural relic protection unit in the fifth batch of municipal-level protected sites.

Both the northern and southern parts connect to National Highway 104, providing extremely convenient transportation.
