Former Residence of Revolutionary Mother Pan Yiqiu

The former residence of Revolutionary Mother Pan Yiqiu is a cultural relic protection unit of Fu’an City.

The former residence of Revolutionary Mother Pan Yiqiu is located in Banci Village, Xitan Town, Fu’an City. It dates back to the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

Located at No. 5 Jiewei Road, Banci Village, Xitan Town, it was built during the Daoguang era (1821–1850). The structure faces northeast and is a traditional courtyard-style building made of earth and wood, with a total width of 17.72 meters and a depth of 31.5 meters, covering a floor area of 558.2 square meters. It consists of a front courtyard, main house, rear courtyard, and two wing rooms. The main house features a post-and-lintel beam structure with reduced central columns, standing 6.42 meters tall. It has five bays in width and nine columns in depth, with a front corridor topped by a flush gable roof. Currently, the left secondary and end rooms are used as exhibition spaces for the revolutionary deeds of Mother Pan Yiqiu. It provides an important physical reference for studying the revolutionary history of the Mindong base area, holding significant value.

On February 20, 2013, the Fu’an Municipal People’s Government designated it as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit in the fifth batch.

Protected area: A buffer zone extending 5 meters beyond the building’s surrounding walls.
