Jiubao Monument

The Jiubao Monument is a cultural relic protection unit of Fu'an City.

The Jiubao Monument is located in Nandi Village, Songluo Township, Fu'an City, dating back to 2005, and is categorized as a modern historical site and representative architecture.

It is situated in the Budougang farmland at the foot of the mountain, about 100 meters south of Nandi Village, Songluo Township, Fu'an City, and was erected in 2005. It faces northwest from the southeast. Carved from rectangular bluestone, it stands 2.25 meters high, 0.93 meters wide, and 0.52 meters thick, covering an area of 2.15 square meters. The central vertical inscription on the monument reads “Jiubao Monument,” inscribed by the former Governor of Fujian Province—. The characters measure 23.3*24.5 cm. The back of the monument records the historical story of Jiubao. This incident was a major event in the Min Dong revolutionary history that took place in Fu'an. Revolutionary locals risked their lives to save the leaders of the Min Dong revolutionary base by providing a family guarantee for the captured leaders. They chose death over surrender and sacrificed precious lives. The monument holds profound significance and is an important commemorative structure in the Min Dong revolutionary base.

On February 20, 2013, the People's Government of Fu'an City designated it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units.

Songluo Township: a township under the jurisdiction of Fu'an City. Established as the Songluo Commune in 1958 and restructured as a township in 1984. It is located in the southeastern part of the city, 33 kilometers from the municipal government. Covering an area of 77.4 square kilometers with a population of 17,000, it administers 19 village committees: Songluo, Yangxi, Niuluoyang, Shanghouyang, Ya’ao, Wailingtou, Manyang, Liuxi, Xiaochayang, Gucuo, Wangdi, Wangjia, Dapingli, Chixi, Dukeng, Shanjie, Nandi, Jinshan, and Houxi.
