The Revolutionary Western-Style Building in Lifeng Village is a cultural relic protection unit of Fu’an City.

The Revolutionary Western-Style Building in Lifeng Village is located in Lifeng Village, Xibing Town, Fu’an City. It was built in 1953 and is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative building.

The house is located at No. 42 Baoyuan Road, Lifeng Village (formerly known as Macuo), Xibing Town, Fu’an City. Built in 1953, it faces from the southeast to the northwest. It is a single-compound civil-structured earthen building with a total frontage of 13.86 meters, a total depth of 14.81 meters, and covers an area of 205.28 square meters. The main building has a hanging hip roof, is two stories high, and approximately 6.3 meters tall, with a square floor plan. The building has a three-bay frontage of 13.86 meters and a four-pillar depth of 13.36 meters, with the central section divided into front and rear halls by a middle wall. The side rooms and second-floor rooms are located on both sides. A small courtyard is set in front of the central bay, allowing ample light into the main hall. The entrance gate faces the northeast. Ma Lifeng was a renowned leader of the revolutionary movement in eastern Fujian and was executed by reactionary forces. After the victory of the national revolution, the government built this new house in honor of the martyrs of eastern Fujian, calling it the Revolutionary Western-Style Building. Currently, the Fu’an municipal government is establishing a patriotic education base that will be open to the public for education on patriotism and revolutionary traditions.

On February 20, 2013, the Fu’an Municipal People’s Government announced it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units.

Protection Area: An extension of 5 meters beyond the outer walls of the building.

Revolutionary leaders such as Deng Zihui, Tao Zhu, Zeng Zhi, Ye Fei, Ma Lifeng, Shi Lin, and Zhang Shaolian once led and carried out revolutionary struggles in eastern Fujian here, earning it the nickname “Yan’an of Eastern Fujian.” Xibing Town boasts beautiful mountains and rivers, outstanding people, abundant resources, and convenient transportation.
