Changshang Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area in Jiangle County

Location: Within the jurisdiction of Gaotang Town, Jiangle County, Sanming City, Fujian Province

Introduction:

Changshang Lake has a mild and humid climate with abundant rainfall and distinct seasons. It features well-preserved ecology, high vegetation coverage, and very fresh air. The area is surrounded by mountains and has a well-developed water system. To the north lies Huítóu Mountain and it is adjacent to the Jinxi River, separated only by a road; to the east it borders ponds formed by reservoir water storage and offers distant views of Huǒbǎ Mountain; the relatively flat southeastern part is used for farmland. The scenic area boasts beautiful landscapes, a relatively well-preserved residential architectural complex, two streams running vertically and horizontally, as well as naturally formed riverbanks along the shores, steep canyons, wide water surfaces, and many ancient trees. The combination of tourism resources is excellent, with ample sunlight, suitable temperatures, and a pleasant climate. The natural conditions are superior and the cultural heritage runs deep.

On the north side of the scenic area, the mountains on both banks of the Jinxi River are steep, featuring Huítóu Mountain, Huǒbǎ Mountain, and Niúyuándòng. The north-south section of the stream forms a canyon, with grotesque rocks and unusual sandbars on both sides, lush greenery, and serene beauty; rock formations are distributed along the stream. The pond water is clear and azure. On sunny days, the blue sky, white clouds, and surrounding mountains are reflected in the water, blending with the nearby peaks, bizarre rocks, and vegetation to form a stunningly beautiful scene.

The scenic area has a subtropical climate that is mild and humid, with abundant rainfall and distinct seasons. The average annual temperature is 18.7 degrees Celsius, and the air is very fresh. Summers are not excessively hot, autumns are cool, and winters bring frost and snow, all within moderate humidity and temperature. In particular, summers are especially cool and pleasant, coupled with the tranquil natural environment, making it an ideal destination for leisure and summer retreat.

Transportation Guide:

The scenic area is only 11 kilometers from Jiangle County town, 77.8 kilometers from Shaxian Airport, and is close to the Xiangtang–Putian Railway, Yingxia Railway, and G70 Fuzhou–Yinchuan Expressway, with Provincial Highway 204 passing through.
