Tokyo Disneyland recently announced plans to create new themed areas inspired by films such as *Frozen* and *Beauty and the Beast*, generating great excitement among many visitors. However, you don’t have to wait until 2017 — this summer, Tokyo Disneyland will debut new attractions and redesigned parade content, making these four compelling reasons to visit the park this season.

1. A brand-new attraction “Stitch” will debut this summer
The new attraction “Meet Stitch,” themed around the animated film *Lilo & Stitch*,will open on July 17in Tomorrowland. Although details have yet to be revealed, it is reported to be an interactive experience where guests can talk with Stitch.

2. The “Nighttime Electrical Parade — DreamLights” with all-new content will launch this summer

The long-popular Tokyo Disneyland nighttime parade — the Electrical Parade — DreamLights, which debuted in 2001, will feature brand-new elements starting July 9.

This year’s parade draws inspiration from the animated film *Tangled*. It includes a massive float of Rapunzel’s tower, with her iconic golden hair as the main color, adorned with vibrant flowers that sparkle under LED lighting. In addition, newly created floats like Peter Pan’s pirate ship will offer guests a completely fresh visual experience.

3. The perennially popular Tokyo Disneyland show

Beyond the attractions and parades, another must-see at Tokyo Disneyland is its spectacular live performances. From July 9 to August 31, the Tokyo Disneyland Resort will host the “Disney Summer Festival,” where Mickey and Minnie invite guests to join in the “Yarebana Group Dance” with a festive Japanese flair right in front of Cinderella Castle.
