The inscriptions in Yuhua Cave are a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

The inscriptions in Yuhua Cave are located in Meihua Jing Village, Guyong Town, Jiangle County, dating from the Song Dynasty to the Republic of China period.

Description: There are 17 cliff inscriptions from various dynasties inside Yuhua Cave. Among them, there are 3 from the Song Dynasty, 1 from the Yuan Dynasty, 6 from the Ming Dynasty, 2 from the Qing Dynasty, and 5 from the Republic of China. Most of the inscribers were local officials and notable figures from Fujian and Jiangle throughout history. Notable examples include inscriptions by the Song Dynasty Neo-Confucian master Yang Shi, Jiangle County Magistrate Huang Quji of the Song Dynasty, Fujian Governor Yang Sizhi of the Ming Dynasty, Fujian Academic Administrator Shen Jingjie of the Ming Dynasty, and Lu Ronglin, the first magistrate of Jiangle County during the Republic of China.

In 2013, the inscriptions in Yuhua Cave were announced as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: An extension of 20 meters outward is designated both inside and outside, from the front cave to the back cave.

Guyong Town: Guyong Town is located in the central part of Jiangle County and serves as the county’s political, economic, cultural, and transportation hub. It covers a total area of 220 square kilometers. The town government is situated on the north bank of the Jinxi River in the county seat, making it the political, economic, and cultural center of Jiangle County.

In the third year of the Tiande era of the Min Kingdom during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period (964 AD), when Jiangle was elevated from a county to a prefecture, a mountain to the west of the county seat called Xitai Mountain, which resembled an inverted bell, led to the naming of the area as “Yongzhou.” Later, due to its long history, it came to be known as “Guyong.”
