Jiangle County Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery

Jiangle County Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is located in Tiange Cemetery near Yuhua Village, Guyong Town, Jiangle County.

Jiangle County established its own Soviet government in June 1931, making it an important part of the Central Soviet Area. From 1930 to the present, during the New Democratic Revolution and the periods of socialist revolution and construction, a total of 116 named martyrs sacrificed their lives in Jiangle—both locally and elsewhere—including 29 Red Army martyrs, 30 martyrs who were Soviet and peasant association cadres, guerrilla fighters, and Red Guards, 23 PLA martyrs who died in the Liberation War, bandit suppression campaigns, the Korean War, and the Sino-Vietnamese Self-Defense Counterattack War, and 34 martyrs who lost their lives during national defense projects or while protecting the lives and property of the state, collectives, and local people. Among those resting in the cemetery are Guo Hecheng, Xiao Shenmou, Ding Shien, Qin Fuhe, Liu Junyan, and others.

Jiangle County Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery faces south and is situated in the first row of the Tianbao section of Tiange Cemetery. It has a total of 12 grave sites, with several hundred square meters of concrete pavement in front of the graves for collective public mourning. There are currently eight martyr graves, five of which belong to PLA soldiers and local government officials who died fighting bandits just before the liberation of Jiangle. These martyr graves were originally located in separate areas such as Jiaohu Village, Wan’an Village, and Shuinan Village, but were gradually relocated to the Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery after 2007.
