Jiangle County Museum

Jiangle County Museum was established on May 4, 1987 (Jiangle Government Document [1987] No. 43) as a comprehensive county-level museum. It is under the jurisdiction of the County Culture, Sports, Radio, Television, and Publishing Bureau, with full financial funding. Its primary responsibilities include collecting, preserving, researching, and exhibiting cultural relics, specimens, documents, and other collections, and it offers free access to the public.

In January 2002, the museum moved into a new building covering an area of 1,200 square meters, with a construction area of 1,801 square meters. The new facility includes exhibition halls (rooms), storage rooms, duty rooms, and offices. The museum currently has 12 staff members, including 6 permanent employees—1 research librarian, 1 librarian, 1 assistant librarian, 2 senior technicians, and 1 mid-level technician.

On January 25, 2006, the Jiangle County Historical Relics Exhibition Room opened to the public; on September 10, 2008, the Jiangle · Central Soviet Area County Memorial Hall opened; and on June 26, 2009, the Yang Shi Memorial Hall opened. The completion and free public access of these exhibition rooms have provided detailed physical materials for better understanding and loving Jiangle, playing a positive role in promoting the county’s spiritual civilization. They have become important bases for patriotic education, science education, and moral education for primary and secondary school students.
