The former site of the Pucheng Daihou Office and Branch of the CPC Chongan Special Branch is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The former site of the Pucheng Daihou Office and Branch of the CPC Chongan Special Branch is located in Daihou Natural Village, Daihou Village, Fengxi Township, Pucheng County, dating back to 1927.

Description: Originally the HuiLongxian Hermitage, commonly known as the “Three Generals Temple,” it was first built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1736–1795), and was renovated twice—in the 34th year of the Guangxu reign (1908) and the 6th year of the Republic of China (1917). In September 1927, Comrade Xu Lüjun, Secretary of the CPC Chongan Special Branch, and Comrade Zhou Zizhuang, Secretary of the Pucheng County Peasants’ Association, came to Daihou Village to develop the organization. Through arduous and meticulous revolutionary education and propaganda efforts by the Party, the Pucheng Daihou Office of the CPC Chongan Special Branch was established at the “Three Generals Temple.” At the same time, the Chongpu Peasants’ Association and the Paper Industry Labor Union were also formed. In the winter of the same year, the Pucheng Daihou Branch of the CPC Chongan Special Branch was established. During this period, the Party and the Youth League continued to recruit members, establishing grassroots Party and League groups in villages. In September 1928, over 500 residents from Fengxi took part in the Chongpu Uprising held in Shangmei, Pucheng County. In March 1930, the CPC Xiaobei District Committee moved to Daihou and was renamed the Daihou District Committee.

In 2018, the former site of the Pucheng Daihou Office and Branch of the CPC Chongan Special Branch was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: Extending 20 meters outward from the east and north walls, reaching the stone-paved road to the south, and extending to Daihou Primary School to the west.

Daihou Village: Daihou Village is the third-largest administrative village in Fengxi Township, Pucheng County, Nanping City. It is located in the southwestern part of Pucheng County, 55 kilometers from the county seat. To the east, it borders Chijia Village; to the west, it connects with Wutun Township of Wuyishan City, leading directly into the Wuyi Mountain area over a distance of 45 kilometers. The village covers an area of 6.48 square kilometers, and is 9 kilometers from the seat of a neighboring township. The total land area of the village is 9,712 mu, including 6,763 mu of mountainous land and 948 mu of arable land. The village has a population of 1,078 people across 274 households, covering 9 natural villages and 14 villager groups.
