Haixi Pass is located in Haixi Village, Zhongxin Town, Pucheng County, dating back to the Han Dynasty.

Haixi Village: Haixi Village was once the site of Haixi Township, situated in the northwest of Zhongxin Town. It lies at the end of the Hu (Mountain)–Haixi Highway, which stretches 15.1 km in total. The village neighbors Yucang, Yantang, Yuanli Villages, as well as Maochu Village of Guanlu Township and Jiangshan City in Zhejiang Province. With an elevation of 540 meters, it covers an area of 32.94 square kilometers, comprising 8 villager groups, 11 natural villages, 182 households, and 624 residents. The arable land area is 489.1 mu, while the mountainous area spans 47,865 mu, of which 41,532 mu are industrial ecological forests, accounting for 86.77%.
