It is a typical revolutionary base village. The village currently has a population of 1,300 and comprises 2 natural villages and 12 villager groups. Economy of Pengwei Village: Forestry, agriculture, and flue-cured tobacco are the main sources of income for local farmers. In 2006, the village planted 520 mu of flue-cured tobacco, implementing a rotation system of tobacco and rice.
