The Minbei District Government Auditorium in Da’an is a classic red tourism scenic area, a base for patriotic education, and a base for national defense education.

Da’an’s red tourism is one of China’s 100 classic red tourism scenic areas and 30 premium red tourism routes. It serves as a base for patriotic education and national defense education, and enjoys the reputations of being the “Red Capital of Northern Fujian” and “The Red Flag Never Falls.”

Da’an has a glorious history due to its special geographical location and political conditions. As early as 1928, the “Da’an People’s Team” was organized here to carry out peasant movements. In 1929, troops were sent to participate in the Second Shangmei Uprising. Between 1930 and 1931, the “Communist Party Committee of Da’an District” and the “Soviet Government of Da’an District” were successively established. From September 1931 to January 1935, this area served as the political, military, economic, and cultural center of the Minbei Soviet Area. The Minbei Soviet Area became an important part of the “Fang Zhimin-style base area” praised by Chairman Mao Zedong, and Da’an became the “Red Capital” of the Minbei Soviet Area.

Da’an Village is located at the southern foot of FenShui Pass at the junction of Fujian and Jiangxi in the northernmost part of Wuyishan City, Fujian Province. FenShui Pass within the territory is the foremost of the “Nine Great Passes” of Wuyishan and has historically been a strategic military location. The village is 22 kilometers from the city center, with the Fu-Fen Provincial Highway passing directly through the town, offering very convenient transportation. The red tourism sites are located on Da’an Street in Da’an Village (Latitude 117°53′39″, Longitude 27°53′27″), featuring 21 historical (former) sites (15 of which are marked), 2 squares, and 1 Da’an Red Tourism Service Center. The main visitable historical (former) sites include: the former site of the Soviet Government, the Red Army Auditorium, and the Exhibition Hall of the Red Capital of Northern Fujian. Additionally, there are the Red Army Square and the Red Army Monument Square for visitors to admire.
