Wuyi Tianchi National Forest Park is a national-level forest park.

Here, the mountains are made beautiful by the water, and the water is made splendid by the mountains. The interplay of mountains and water creates the picturesque landscape of the great Wuyi Tianchi. Boating downstream from Gaojia to Xiayang, you’ll travel ten li along the water, covering an area of 4,100 mu. With winding peaks and turning waters, there are twenty-five bends in all—each bend offering a unique view, rivaling the beauty of the Nine Bend River in Wuyi. The riverside scenery is enchanting, with distinctive landscapes and rolling green hills. Peaks such as Zhumu Gang, Dinggang Mountain, Dinggong Mountain, and Xiangya Peak stand like solemn Buddhas, fierce tigers, monkeys offering peaches, or turtles emerging from the water—each displaying its own character. There are also bamboo forests, villages, farmhouses, and fields that together form a beautiful landscape painting, making you feel as if you’re boating through a picture. The water flows sometimes gently, sometimes swiftly—calm as a mirror at times, and turbulent at others, evoking a sense of drifting adventure. As you approach the Xiayang section, the water opens up broadly, where tributaries such as Furong Stream and Zhumu Gang Stream converge. The water surface spans over 20,000 square meters, with the deepest point reaching 54 meters, resembling a giant natural pool laid bare before you.
