Longguiyuan

Longguiyuan is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Longguiyuan Scenic Area is part of the Da’anyuan Scenic Area in Wuyishan. The air here is rich in negative oxygen ions, earning it the nickname “nature’s oxygen bar.” Following a winding path through the forest and descending along the trail, you’ll soon reach the valley floor of Longguiyuan. Two waterfalls, each over 30 meters high, cascade down. Our guide told us that because the left waterfall resembles a white dragon soaring through the air and the right one looks like a phoenix, they are called the “Dragon and Phoenix Waterfalls.” It is said that the water comes from Huanggang Mountain, known as the “Roof of East China,” which stands at an altitude of 2,158 meters, making the waterfalls extremely pristine.

Strolling along the water-friendly boardwalks in the valley feels like walking through a gallery of traditional Chinese landscape paintings. Along the way, you can admire rare plants such as white-flowered loropetalum forests and wild orchids. As for the deep pools and shallow shoals—like Jingxin Pool, Mother and Son Pool, and Red Army Pool—they are a feast for the eyes. Especially captivating are the Dragon and Phoenix Waterfalls and the Flying Dragon Waterfall, which cascade from the sky, creating a symphony of life that is utterly genuine, pure, virtuous, and beautiful.
