The Ancient Min-Gan Post Road in Wuyi Mountain is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Ancient Min-Gan Post Road and passes in Wuyi Mountain are located in Lingyang Village, Langgu Township; Da’an Village and Kengkou Village, Yangzhuang Township, Wuyishan City, dating from the Five Dynasties to the Southern Song Dynasty.

Description: It consists of the ancient post roads and passes at Lingyang Pass, Fenshui Pass, and Wenlin Pass. The ancient post road and pass at Lingyang Pass were first built in the Southern Song Dynasty and are located in Lingyang Village, Langgu Township, Wuyishan City, at the border between Fujian and Jiangxi, connecting to Guangfeng in Jiangxi. The ancient post road and pass at Fenshui Pass were first built during the Five Dynasties under the Min Kingdom, located in Da’an Village, Yangzhuang Township, Wuyishan City, also at the Fujian-Jiangxi border, connecting to Yanshan in Jiangxi. The ancient post road and pass at Wenlin Pass were first built in the Southern Song Dynasty, located at the Fujian-Jiangxi border in Kengkou Village, Yangzhuang Township, Wuyishan City, connecting to Yanshan in Jiangxi. The ruins of the Min-Gan ancient post road passes are important physical materials for studying the linear cultural heritage of the Tea Horse Road, as well as the ancient transportation, logistics, commerce, border defense, military systems, and courier station systems of Wuyi Mountain.

Protected area: Ancient post road and pass at Lingyang Pass: an extension of 10 meters beyond the road shoulder on both sides. Lingyang Pass entrance: from both sides of the pass wall to the ridge, 20 meters north and south respectively. Wenlin Pass ancient post road: an extension of 10 meters beyond the road shoulder on both sides. Wenlin Pass entrance: from both sides of the pass wall to the ridge, 20 meters north and south respectively. Fenshui Pass entrance: an extension of 20 meters beyond the pass wall to both sides of the ridge. Da’an Ridge section of the ancient post road: an extension of 10 meters beyond the road shoulder on both sides. Huanglian Pit section of the ancient post road: an extension of 10 meters beyond the road shoulder on both sides. The Tablet for the Collective Sacrifice of Lonely Spirits and the Shrine of Lonely Spirits: an extension of 10 meters outward from the main body of both the Tablet and the Shrine.

In 2018, the Ancient Min-Gan Post Road and passes in Wuyi Mountain were designated as part of the ninth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

In 2019, the Ancient Min-Gan Post Road in Wuyi Mountain was included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
