Zhulin Pit Kiln Site
The Zhulin Pit Kiln Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.
The Zhulin Pit Kiln Site is located in Huangbai Village, Wuyi Subdistrict, Wuyishan City, dating back to the Bronze Age.
Description: The site features a three-tiered terrace arranged in an east-west "3" shape, running north-south, with a relative height of about 10 meters, approximately 100 meters long from north to south and 200 meters wide from east to west, covering a total area of 20,000 square meters. Among the unearthed artifacts, primitive celadon accounts for over 80%, with the rest being stamped hard pottery. Small stone adzes were found in the discarded red-fired soil at the kiln’s front working area. This kiln site is an important physical relic for studying the structure and form of primitive porcelain kilns in China during the Western Zhou period.
In 2013, the Zhulin Pit Kiln Site was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
