Xiamei Xiushui Retreat is located in Xiamei Village, Wuyi Subdistrict, Wuyishan City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Xiamei Xiushui Retreat has been designated as a county-level cultural heritage site.

Xiamei Village: Located east of the Wuyishan Scenic Area, Xiamei Village is just six kilometers from the resort area by car. With a long history, rich cultural heritage, and deep cultural accumulation, it is a place where tradition thrives.

The village preserves over 30 well-kept ancient residential buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, built along the stream. These include luxurious residences of wealthy merchants, official mansions, and scholar academies. Among the most representative complexes are the Zou Family Doctor’s Mansion, Zou Family Ancestral Hall, Cheng Family Hermit Residence, Xiushui Retreat, and Fang Family Military Official Mansion. These structures primarily feature brick-and-wood construction, complete with eastern pavilions, western wings, towers, terraces, courtyards, and gardens. Their layouts are meticulous, and their craftsmanship exquisite.
