Wuyishan Polar Ocean Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Covering an area of 119.24 mu, Wuyishan Polar Ocean Park has an exhibition space of 48,000 square meters. It consists of sections such as the Polar Animal Pavilion, Marine Life Pavilion, Whale & Dolphin Theater, Happy Theater, Marine Science Experience Hall, and Ocean Culture Commercial Plaza. It is a large-scale, open marine-themed tourism park that integrates various functions including tourism, leisure, dining, entertainment, shopping, science education, and interaction.

Wuyishan Polar Ocean Park is currently the only educational and science-focused tourism project themed around polar oceans in Fujian Province. It features four major pavilions—the Polar Animal Pavilion, Marine Life Pavilion, Premium Aquarium, and Science Interaction Pavilion—as well as three theaters: the Whale & Dolphin Theater, Happy Theater, and Mermaid Palace. This large-scale, open marine-themed tourism park combines various functions such as tourism, leisure, dining, and entertainment, and will showcase hundreds of species of polar animals, marine fish, and other sea creatures.

Located at No. 198 Dawangfeng Road, Wuyishan City, the project covers an area of approximately 120 mu, with a total investment of 780 million RMB. It sits at the core of the Wuyishan National Tourism Resort and is a tourism complex characterized by ocean culture, integrating tourism, shopping, leisure, vacation, dining, and accommodation. The project was approved as a tourism initiative by the Wuyishan Development and Reform Bureau in 2012 and included in the list of key cultural tourism projects under construction in Fujian Province. Recently, it was also added to the 2016 provincial inspection project list of the Fujian Provincial People’s Government.

The park is based on the display of polar animals and marine life, focuses on the conservation and protection of polar and marine animals, and centers on youth and children as its main audience. It develops science education courses and extended experience programs. This comprehensive science tourism project integrates interactive experiences such as encounters with large marine mammals like dolphins, beluga whales, and sea lions, diving interactions, overnight stays in the aquarium, science lectures, and marine science summer camps. Through a rich variety of offerings, it enhances the visitor experience and creates a more educational and interactive polar ocean adventure.
