The Yunhe Drifting route stretches from the north entrance of the scenic area at the west side of Wuyi Bridge to the south entrance at Gongguan Bridge, covering a total distance of 7.5 kilometers. The drifting is carried out on bamboo rafts made of three sections, each equipped with a tea table. A guide provides commentary throughout the journey and facilitates interactive activities among tourists. With wide views, you can admire mountain vistas and enjoy the colors of the water. Along the way, you’ll pass nine scenic peaks: Dashan Peak, Sangu Rock, Shizi Peak, Manting Peak, Shuangyan Peak, Hehe Rock, Jinchan Rock, Foguo Rock, and Shentong Rock.

Yunhe Drifting is a newly developed key tourist attraction in Wuyishan, integrating leisure, sightseeing, entertainment, and culture to enrich the area’s natural and cultural landscapes. With the theme of “slow drifting on Yunhe, sipping tea amidst landscapes,” it aligns perfectly with Wuyishan’s concept of promoting a leisurely, slow-paced travel experience.

Yunhe is the most scenic stream in Wuyishan aside from the Nine Bend Stream. The drifting route runs from Chishi Dock to Shangpu Dock, spanning approximately 7.5 kilometers, with the water drifting time lasting about 1.5 hours. At the start of the rafting trip, the tea artist loudly announces: “Let’s set off the raft!” With this call, the boatman poles the bamboo raft into the water, and it gently floats downstream along Yunhe. Passengers on the raft enjoy expansive views, taking in not only the mountain scenery but also the water’s beauty. Peaks such as Dashan Peak, Sangu Rock, Shizi Peak, Manting Peak, Shuangyan Peak, Hehe Rock, Jinchan Rock, Foguo Rock, and Shentong Rock unfold like a painted scroll along both banks.

Yunhe is located on the Chongyang Stream. Because the waters here are often shrouded in mist, resembling a heavenly river, it is also called Yunhe (Cloud River). As the bamboo raft passes Shentong Rock, you’ll see four rocks symbolizing the four sufferings of life: inability to see through, inability to accept loss, inability to let go, and inability to part with. “Drifting while sipping tea” allows visitors to forget worldly troubles in “days in the clouds, days with tea,” fully experiencing Wuyishan’s unique charm of unity between landscape, tea, and nature.
