Yuying Building

Yuying Building is located in the northeastern part of Chuxi Village, built along the stream. This circular earthen building was constructed in the seventh year of the Yongzheng reign during the Qing Dynasty (1729), facing south and covering an area of 1,256 square meters. With a diameter of 41.6 meters, the main structure has three floors, 34 rooms per floor, four staircases, and an inner corridor layout. The ancestral hall is situated at the center of the inner courtyard and is a single-story brick-and-wood square building.

Chuxi Village: Chuxi Village is under the jurisdiction of Xiayang Town, Yongding County, Fujian Province, bordering Luxi Town, Pinghe County, Zhangzhou. It is 15 kilometers away from Xiayang Town. Chuxi Village is located upstream of the Chuxi River, hence its original name, "Crude Stream Village." Nestled among green mountains and surrounded by clear waters, the village features lush pines and bamboos on the hills and terraced fields behind the buildings. The Chuxi Earthen Building Complex consists of five circular buildings and dozens of square ones. They are nestled against the mountains and by the water, arranged in a well-spaced and harmonious layout, showcasing high aesthetic and artistic value.
