Xiqing Building

Xiqing Building is situated in the central area of Chuxi Village, to the southeast of Jiqing Building. This rectangular earthen building was built in the 29th year of the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (1849), faces south, and covers an area of about 400 square meters. It has three stories, is 27 meters wide and 24 meters deep, and features an internal corridor design. The first floor contains 20 rooms and two halls, while the second and third floors each have 23 rooms. There are no windows on the first and second floors, and the building has two staircases and two main gates. The rear hall serves as the ancestral hall.

Chuxi Village: Chuxi Village is under the jurisdiction of Xiayang Town, Yongding County, Fujian Province, bordering Luxi Town, Pinghe County, Zhangzhou. It is 15 kilometers away from Xiayang Town. The village is named Chuxi (Crude Stream) as it is located upstream of the Chuxi River. Nestled among lush mountains and surrounded by clear waters, the area features verdant pines and bamboos on the hillsides and terraced fields behind the buildings. The Chuxi Earthen Building Cluster consists of five round buildings and dozens of square ones. These structures are harmoniously integrated with the surrounding landscape, showcasing exceptional aesthetic and artistic value.
