Location: Shangnan Village, Hulei Town, Yongding County

Introduction: The site, known as the "Wanyuan Building," is a residential structure built in the late Qing Dynasty. It faces south and is arranged from south to north with an outer gate, lower hall, courtyard, eaves corridor, and main building. The main building has three bays in width and two bays in depth, featuring a post-and-lintel wooden structure and a hip-and-gable roof.

In the summer of 1926, Communist Party members Ruan Shan and Lin Xinyao were dispatched by the Shantou Municipal Committee of the CPC and the General Affairs Committee of the CPC in Xiamen to their hometown of Yongding to carry out party-building work. Here, they established the first rural local organization in Fujian Province—the Yongding Branch of the CPC—with Ruan Shan serving as the branch secretary.

Protected Area: A 20-meter buffer zone extends outward from all sides of the building.

Shangnan Village: Shangnan Village is an administrative village in Hulei Town and the birthplace of Fujian Province’s first rural Party branch. Located in the eastern part of Hulei Town, the village covers a total area of approximately 6.5 square kilometers. To the east lies Zengrui Village, to the south it borders Zhulan across the undulating Biji Mountain, to the north is Shanghu Stream, and to the west it connects with Shanghu Village. The village is 3 kilometers from Hulei Town. It consists of 16 natural villages: Xiatiexin, Shangshidun, Xiashidun, Hukuli, Liukeng, Shabian, Shizitang, Xiatiexin, Yangtou, Daiyangkeng, Aoxia, Aobei, Zuoshuxia, Jiaotangli, Benjikuo, and Yuehuzhai.
