Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall of Fengcheng

The Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall of Fengcheng is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall of Fengcheng is located on Jiuyi Street in Fengcheng Town, Yongding County. Built in the first year of the Tongzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1862), it faces south and consists of a main gate, front hall, middle hall, and rear hall. Covering an area of 870 square meters, it is a two-courtyard, three-section corridor-style building. Both the middle and rear halls are three bays wide and three bays deep, featuring a post-and-lintel timber frame and a hanging gable roof. In May 1929, the Fourth Red Army set up its headquarters here during its second entry into Fujian, and Comrade Zhu De once resided in the hall.
