Yonglongchang Building

Yonglongchang Building is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Yonglongchang Building is located in Xinmin Village, Fushi Town, Yongding County. Built between the first year of the Xianfeng reign (1851) and the thirteenth year of the Tongzhi reign (1874) during the Qing Dynasty, it faces northwest and consists of two square buildings: “Fushan Building” and “Fusheng Building.” The structure comprises an outer gate, gate courtyard, inner gate, entrance hall, central hall, main building, and surrounding buildings, covering a total area of 23,300 square meters. With its grand scale, intricate structure, exquisite craftsmanship, and profound cultural heritage, it is an exceptionally large traditional earthen building. In 2010, it was recognized by the “Guinness World Records” in Shanghai as the tallest tulou (earthen building).

Xinmin Village: Xinmin Village is situated in the northwest of Fushi Town, Yongding County, approximately 1 kilometer from the town center and about 33 kilometers from the county seat. The village comprises five villager groups: Jingtou Villager Group, Yonglongchang New Building Villager Group, Yonglongchang Old Building Villager Group, Baxin Villager Group, and Yonghao Building Group. It has a total of 296 households and a population of 1,046. The village covers an area of 38.05 hectares, including 24.67 hectares of arable land, 0.83 hectares of forest, and 1.1 hectares of grassland.
