Yunchuan Lu Ancestral Hall

The Yunchuan Lu Ancestral Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Yunchuan Lu Ancestral Hall is located on Houlong Mountain in Kanzhen Town, Yongding District, Longyan City, dating back to the Ming Dynasty.

Introduction: The lower hall was first built between the 10th and 12th years of the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty (1497–1499), and the upper hall between the 14th and 16th years of the Hongzhi reign (1501–1503). Facing west and situated eastward, the complex covers a total area of 2 hectares. The two halls share a largely identical spatial layout, arranged side by side from left to right, and consist of flagpole stones, a pond, enclosing walls, a courtyard, a lower hall, a middle hall, an upper hall, a rear slope, and wing rooms on both sides. The outer gate towers are both located on the right side of the ancestral hall. The middle hall is three bays wide, with a gable-and-hip roof supported by purlins resting directly on the gable walls.

Protected area: 20 meters beyond the rear enclosing wall, 10 meters beyond the pond, and 10 meters beyond the enclosing walls on the south and north sides.

In 2018, the Yunchuan Lu Ancestral Hall was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
