Sanbao Kuwen Book House

The Sanbao Kuwen Book House is a cultural heritage site protected by Fujian Province.

The Sanbao Kuwen Book House is located in Sanbao Village, Tangbao Township, Yongding District, Longyan City, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Introduction: Originally built during the Ming Dynasty's Wanli era, it was reconstructed in the 51st year of the Qianlong reign (1786) into the existing Sanbao Kuwen Book House. Facing west and covering an area of 900 square meters, it comprises the main hall building, worship pavilion, front hall, corridor rooms, and an independent main gate. The main hall building has three stories, with a construction area of 568.8 square meters, including nine halls and twenty-eight rooms. The upstairs main hall features a shrine on the front wall, enshrining statues of Confucius and the God of Literature (Wenchang Dijun).

Protected area: An additional 20 meters outward from all sides of the building.

In 2018, the Sanbao Kuwen Book House was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the Fujian Provincial People's Government.

Sanbao Village: Sanbao Village is the second-largest administrative village in Tangbao Township, Yongding County, Longyan City. It is situated in the northern part of Yongding County, within the scenic expanse of Mangdangyang Mountain. To the east, it neighbors Xiushan in Junshi; to the west, it borders Xiangxi; to the north, it connects with Saizhi and Zhaixia; and to the south, it lies 3.3 kilometers from the township center. The village covers an area of 6.5 square kilometers, with a current population of over 1,670 people across 398 households. It includes three sections—Qunfeng, Aoxia, and Hongxing—and 16 villager groups.
