Residence of Ronglu

The Residence of Ronglu is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

The Residence of Ronglu is located in Fuchuan Village, Xiayang Town, Yongding District, Longyan City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Constructed in the 29th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1903), it is a square earthen building with a timber and earth structure, facing south. It has a total width of 35 meters and a total depth of 22 meters, covering an area of 750 square meters. The structure comprises a main building that is five bays wide and five bays deep, along with a left-side wing building that is five bays wide and three bays deep. The main building has two stories, features an internal corridor layout, and is topped with a hanging gable roof.

Protective boundary: The area extends 20 meters outward from all sides of the building.

In 2018, the Residence of Ronglu was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Fuchuan Village: Administrative divisions of Fuchuan Village include 14 villager groups: Xiake Group, Zhongke Group, Shangke Group, Hongguang Group, Qiaoguang Group, Chaluoke Group, Shaluoping Group, Bao hu Group, Fushi Group, Tangke Group, Shangbaokeng Group, Hongyi Group, Hong'er Group, and Hongsan Group; and 10 natural villages: Kepingli, Qiaoguang, Chaluoke, Shaluoping, Bao hu, Fushi, Tangke, Shangbaokeng, Matou, and Haosike.

Population: 513 households, 1,672 people.

Natural resources: Over 10,000 mu of forest land, 1,400 mu of arable land.

Industries: Early-ripening plums, oranges, honey pomelos.
