The Former Site of the Western Fujian Anti-Counterrevolutionary Committee and Western Fujian Political Security Office (Sixun Hall) is a cultural relic protection unit of Yongding District.

The Former Site of the Western Fujian Anti-Counterrevolutionary Committee and Western Fujian Political Security Office (Sixun Hall) is located in Huxi Village, Hugang Town, dating back to 1930.

The Former Site of the Western Fujian Anti-Counterrevolutionary Committee and Western Fujian Political Security Office (Sixun Hall), located at Laowuxia, Huxi Village, Hugang Town, was built in the early years of the Republic of China and covers an area of about 4,000 square meters. It has a square shape and is constructed from earth and wood, facing east with its back to the west. Upon entering through the main gate, there is an independent small courtyard on either side. The building features a flush-gable roof with purlins supported by gable walls. On December 15, 1930, after the relocation of various political, military, legal, economic, and cultural institutions such as the Western Fujian Special Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Western Fujian Soviet Government to Hugang, the Western Fujian Soviet Government’s Anti-Counterrevolutionary Committee was established here in early 1931. Influenced by Li Lisan’s “Left” deviationist line and Wang Ming’s “Left” adventurism, some leaders and soldiers of the Western Fujian Soviet Government were wrongly executed. On July 15, 1931, the Western Fujian Soviet Government’s Anti-Counterrevolutionary Committee was dissolved and replaced by the Western Fujian Soviet Government Political Security Office (Jixiang Building), which was set up here, with Guo Diren serving as its head.

Protected area: An extension of 5 meters outward on the east, south, west, and north sides of the building.

Construction control zone: A 15-meter extension outward from the boundary lines of the protected area.

Huxi Village: Huxi Village currently has a population of 4,450, comprising 38 villager groups, with a total of 1,300 households. The village spans a total land area of 15.6 square kilometers, including 16,800 mu of forest land, a forest coverage rate of 71%, and 2,780 mu of arable land. The area is home to famous scenic spots such as the Mangdangyang Scenic Area and the Red Scarf Reservoir. As an important part of the Western Fujian Red Land, it was once the location of over 40 institutions, including the Western Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi Border Region Special Committee, the Military Region Headquarters, the Third Branch of the Military and Political School, the Western Fujian Soviet Government, the Workers’ and Peasants’ Bank, and the Lenin Normal School.
