The former site of the Western Fujian Lenin Normal School (Shide Hall) is a cultural relics protection unit of Yongding District.

The former site of the Western Fujian Lenin Normal School (Shide Hall) is located in Huxi Village, Hugang Town, dating back to 1930.

The former site of the Western Fujian Lenin Normal School (Shide Hall), located at Shide Hall on the upper floor of Huxi Village, Hugang Town, was built in the early years of the Republic of China, covering an area of approximately 3,000 square meters. It is square-shaped, with an earth-and-wood structure, facing east and situated to the west, featuring a two-courtyard, three-section corridor-style layout with two wing rooms, a hip-and-gable roof, and gable walls supporting roof beams. On December 15, 1930, after the CPC Western Fujian Special Committee and the Western Fujian Soviet Government relocated to Hugang, the Fourth Red Army subsequently established the Lenin Normal School, with Guo Diren as its principal, based at Shide Hall on the upper floor of Dazhuyuan, Huxi. At that time, the school published newspapers and periodicals such as "Red Flag" and "Red News," as well as educational materials including the "Literacy Textbook," "Picture-Based Literacy Textbook," and "Chinese Language Textbook for Labor Elementary Schools."

Protection Area: Extend 5 meters outward from the east, south, west, and north sides of the building.

Construction Control Zone: Extend 15 meters outward from the boundary lines of the protected area.

Huxi Village: Huxi Village currently has a population of 4,450, comprising 38 villager groups, with a total of 1,300 households. The village covers a total land area of 15.6 square kilometers, including 16,800 mu of forest land with a forest coverage rate of 71%, and 2,780 mu of arable land. The area features the famous Mangdangyang Scenic Area and the Red Scarf Reservoir, among others. As an important part of Western Fujian’s Red Land, it once housed over 40 government and military institutions, including the Western Fujian–Guangdong–Jiangxi Border Special Committee, the Military Region Headquarters, the Third Branch of the Military-Political School, the Western Fujian Soviet Government, the Workers’ and Peasants’ Bank, and the Lenin Normal School.
