The former site of the Tai Ping District Guerrilla Unit Headquarters (Lingjiu Temple) is a cultural relic protection unit of Yongding District.

The former site of the Tai Ping District Guerrilla Unit Headquarters (Lingjiu Temple) is located in Xibei Village, Gaopi Town, dating back to 1927.

The former site of the Tai Ping District Guerrilla Unit Headquarters, Lingjiu Temple—also known as Xiling Temple—was built in the 48th year of the Wanli reign during the Ming Dynasty (1620). It faces northeast and is situated southwest, featuring an earth-and-timber structure with a single-entry corridor-style courtyard and side wings on both sides. The total width is 26.4 meters, the total depth is 21.2 meters, and the overall area is 653.6 square meters. Along the central axis from northeast to southwest are the surrounding wall, rain terrace, main gate, entrance hall, courtyard, and main hall. The two-story main hall houses three statues of the Buddha. It has a flush-gable roof and a post-and-lintel wooden frame. In 1927, following the “April 12th” counter-revolutionary coup, numerous Communists and revolutionary masses were arrested and killed, casting a shadow over the nation. After the incident, reactionary forces in our county also began to suppress the revolution, forcibly disbanding mass organizations such as the County Peasant Association, trade unions, and student unions. In May, rural peasant associations and trade unions went underground, and the former site of the Tai Ping District Guerrilla Unit Headquarters was established at Lingjiu Temple.

The village covers about 38,000 mu of forested land and 3,600 mu of arable land, and is home to the Xibei Tianhou Palace, a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Xibei Village is located upstream of the Yongding River, on the western side of Gaopi Town. The Yongding River flows around the village, stretching six kilometers from one end to the other.
