The Former Site of the Min-Guang-Dong Border Guerrilla Detachment (Shende Hall) is a cultural heritage site protected at the district level in Yongding.

The Former Site of the Min-Guang-Dong Border Guerrilla Detachment (Shende Hall) is located in Xibei Village, Gaobei Town, dating back to 1949.

The Former Site of the Min-Guang-Dong Border Guerrilla Detachment (Shende Hall), originally built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1736–1795), faces east and is built with earth and wood. It has a total width of 19.84 meters and depth of 22.33 meters, covering a land area of 443.2 square meters and a floor space of 589.6 square meters. The building features a two-courtyard, three-section layout with a right-side wing, arranged along a central axis from east to west: a crescent-shaped pond, a rain terrace, an entrance hall, a courtyard, a central hall, another courtyard, and the main building. The two-story main building adopts a watchtower-style design with a modular room arrangement. Each floor contains four rooms, one living area, and one staircase. It features a hip-and-gable roof with gable walls supporting the rafters. An outer gate is located at the northeast corner. On August 9, 1949, the 15th Regiment of the 7th Detachment of the Min-Guang-Dong Border Guerrilla Column of the People’s Liberation Army was ordered to move to Gaobei and stationed at Tianhou Temple in Xipo for training. The regiment consisted of four companies with over 300 troops, equipped with more than ten machine guns, rifles, submachine guns, and other firearms — totaling over 200 firearms and more than 70 rifles. Some soldiers were stationed at Shende Hall. On August 12, the entire 15th Regiment defeated the remnants of Hu Lian’s forces at Tianhou Temple in Xipo, killing or injuring over thirty enemies and achieving a great victory that laid the foundation for the liberation of western Fujian. After the battle, both the Gaobei District People’s Government and Xipo Village sent fattened pigs and vegetables to provide for the regiment, and a celebration assembly was held to honor the soldiers.

Xibei Village: Xibei Village has a population of 6,238, with 1,620 households and 46 villager groups. It currently has 162 Party members, organized into three Party branches, making it the largest administrative village in Gaobei Town. The village has about 38,000 mu of forested land and 3,600 mu of arable land, and is home to the nationally key cultural heritage site — Tianhou Temple of Xibei.

Xibei Village is located upstream of the Yongding River, on the western side of Gaobei Town. The Yongding River flows around the village, stretching six kilometers from one end to the other.
