The former site of the office of the CPC Western Fujian Special Committee (Changsheng Building) is located in Qufeng Village, Gaobei Town, dating back to 1934.

The former site of the office of the CPC Western Fujian Special Committee (Qufeng Changsheng Building) is located in Tiānshàngkēng Natural Village, Qufeng Village, Gaobei Town. Originally built during the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty (1851–1861), it has a square layout, an earth-and-wood structure, and faces southwest to northeast. It is 15.25 meters wide and 15 meters deep, covering a total area of 230 square meters. The main building follows a single-courtyard corridor style. The central axis, from northeast to southwest, consists of a rain courtyard, main gate, entrance hall, patio, and main building. The structure is lower in the front and higher in the back, with the main building having two stories, a hanging hip roof, and gable walls that support the rafters. In mid-September 1927, as the Nanchang Uprising troops marched southward to Guangdong via Yongding, they propagated revolutionary ideals along the way, igniting the flames of armed struggle and providing great inspiration to the Yongding Party organization and revolutionary masses during a low point in the revolution. On October 25, the Yongding County Committee of the CPC was established at Jingsha Public School. Soon after, the Taiping District Committee of the CPC was formed. Thereafter, under the leadership of the Taiping District Committee, the peasant movement in the Qufeng area quickly recovered and developed. In November, young farmers from Qufeng Village joined forces with those from neighboring villages to participate in ——, protesting against oppressive taxes such as the road maintenance levy imposed by the Longyan warlord Chen Guohui. During the three-year guerrilla warfare period, residents of Qukēng (including Lùjiǎobà and Tiānshàngkēng) and Chìfēngxī base villages risked their lives to actively support and coordinate with anti-"encirclement" operations by the Yongtai Guerrilla Unit, the Red Eighth Regiment, and other Red Army guerrilla forces. They provided supplies such as rice, vegetables, salt, and intelligence, contributing to the victory of the three-year guerrilla war. In June 1946, when the full-scale civil war broke out, revolutionary activities in the Gaobei area came under tight control. The office of the CPC Western Fujian Special Committee was temporarily relocated to the rugged and strategically complex areas of Xiashankēng (Beikēng) and Qukēng in Chìfēngxī, where long-term covert revolutionary operations were carried out.

Qufeng Village: Located in the northern part of Gaobei Town, Yongding County, Qufeng Village lies at the junction of Xinluo, Shanghang, and Yongding counties/cities. The village boasts beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate. To the north, it borders Wǔxīng Village, Longmen Town, Xinluo District, just one hour’s drive from downtown Longyan. To the southeast, it connects with Zēngkēng Village in the same town; to the west, it borders Hànyáng Village in Hǔgǎng Township. The village is overlooked by Liángsǎndòng Mountain, which rises 1,537.4 meters above sea level on its eastern side. The village covers an area of 9.5 square kilometers, with 8,000 mu of bamboo forest and over 15,000 mu of woodland. It has 123 households and a total population of 426, organized into four villager groups.
