The former site of the FuLing Branch of the Communist Party of China and the Township Soviet Government (Shuangmen Tower) is a cultural heritage protection unit of Yongding District.

The former site of the FuLing Branch of the Communist Party of China and the Township Soviet Government (Shuangmen Tower) is located in FuLing Village, Gaopi Town, dating back to 1928.

Shuangmen Tower in FuLing is located in the ninth villager group of FuLing Village, Gaopi Town, Yongding District, on the high bank north of Beihuan Road, close to the foot of the mountain. It is a large earthen building jointly constructed by Wang Xianyu of the 14th generation and Wang Lian’e of the 15th generation of the FuLing Wang clan. Construction began in the 41st year of the Kangxi reign (1702). It mainly consists of two fish ponds, two main gates, two front halls, two middle halls, the rear hall’s main building, a rear garden, and flanking side buildings. The complex covers an area of approximately 10,000 square meters. The entire building has a total of 36 staircases, 18 halls, and 108 rooms. At its peak, it housed over sixty households with nearly 300 residents. The site of the FuLing Branch and the Township Soviet Government also served as a Red Army outpost. Notable figures include Wang Xibiao, secretary of the FuLing Branch and first chairman of the township Soviet; the father-and-son Red Army members Wang Xizhen (cook squad leader, martyr) and Wang Wenlan (member of the Young Communist International Division, a department-level official); and the brothers Wang Tinghong and Wang Tingmo, also Red Army soldiers. The fourth floor of the main building features watchtowers on all four corner walls. The Red Army guerrillas once stationed here, and behind Longgang Hill there are Red Army trenches, offering views eastward toward Hezigé (toward Longyan), southward toward Xianshigé (toward Kanshi), and westward toward Mükēnggé (toward Hugang).

Protected Area: East to the eaves drip line of the left side building, west to the eaves drip line of the right side building, south to the high bank of Beihuan Road, and north to the enclosing wall of the rear garden, extending 30 meters.

Construction Control Zone: Extending 30 meters beyond the boundary of the protected area.

FuLing Village: FuLing Village is located at the northern gateway of Yongding County, bordering Hongfang Town of Xinluo District to the north and Xianfu Street to the south. Known for its talented people and scenic beauty, the village enjoys well-developed transportation, with the Longmei Railway, Shuangyong Expressway, Provincial Highway Fusan Line, and the under-construction intercity expressway passing through. The area features a highway interchange and a train station. The internationally renowned architectural marvel, the provincial-level protected site “Five Phoenix Tower,” along with the county-level protected sites “Tiger-Shaped Tianhou Temple” and “New Wei Tower,” all have histories spanning several hundred years.
