The Former Site of the Yongtai Soviet Government (Yuting Mansion) is a cultural heritage site protected by Yongding District.

The Former Site of the Yongtai Soviet Government (Yuting Mansion) is located in Pingzai Village, Gaopi Town, dating back to 1934.

The Former Site of the Yongtai Soviet Government (Yuting Mansion), located in Jishan Area, Beishan Village, Gaopi Town, was built during the Jiaqing and Daoguang eras of the Qing Dynasty (1796–1850) and covers an area of approximately 1,300 square meters. It has a civil-engineered structure, facing south, and is designed as a two-courtyard, three-section building with wings on both sides. The roof features hip-and-gable design with purlins resting on gable walls. In the autumn and winter of 1934, Ma Yongchang was tasked with establishing the Communist Party Yongtai County Committee and the Yongtai County Soviet Government, serving as the county party secretary, while Xu Yongrong was appointed as chairman of the county Soviet government. The former guerrilla unit of Taiping District was also expanded into the Yongtai Guerrilla Unit, with Zhang Dongxiu serving as the guerrilla captain. With over 100 members, the unit primarily operated in areas such as Gaopi, Hugang, Guanyang, Kanshi, Kongfu, and Dapai, and repeatedly coordinated with the Red Eighth Regiment in operations and battles in places like Dayangba, Hugang, Jinghuang, and Kongfu. Yuting Mansion served as the headquarters of the Yongtai County Soviet Government during the Agrarian Revolutionary period, as well as a resting and temporary base for the Red Army guerrillas. Soviet government officials and guerrillas often held meetings here to discuss revolutionary activities and made significant contributions to the revolution.

Pingzai Village: Located in the eastern part of Gaopi Town, Pingzai Village covers an area of about 9 square kilometers, comprising 22 natural villages, 45 villager groups, 1,851 households, a population of 5,270, 158 Party members, 45 villager group leaders, and 12 village cadres (including 1 hired staff member).

Since Pingzai Village was designated as a key site for land requisition and demolition in 2009, the village’s two committees and the broader community have actively responded to government calls, strongly supporting industrial development and project construction.
