Hundred-Year Archway

The Hundred-Year Archway is located on the northern section of Nanzhao Shengzu Street. Built in the eighth year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty (1580), it faces west and is constructed in a granite imitation wood structure. It features four pillars, three tiers, and three bays, standing 6.5 meters high and 8.8 meters wide. The single-eave hip-and-gable roof is combined with a double-slope design. The plaques on both the eastern and western sides are inscribed in regular script with the characters “Hundred-Year Archway.” The lintel inscription reads “Erected in the autumn of the Gengchen year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty for Shen Zhongxuan, an honored long-lived civilian.” The archway is adorned with carved floral patterns, all of which are well preserved.
