Fengshan Ecological Park

Fengshan Ecological Park is one of the city’s “Top Ten Competition” projects. It is located in Qiandong Town, Zhao’an County, adjacent to the eastern exit of the Shenhai Expressway in Zhao’an, bordering the Jindu Industrial Concentration Zone to the east, Meiling Peninsula to the south, Shuangping Mountain Ecological Park to the north, and the eastern gateway of Zhao’an to the west. It lies about 8 kilometers from the county town center and covers a total area of approximately 4.4 square kilometers. The scenic area currently features Fengshan Baoguo Temple, Jinshan Temple, the ruins of the Tiandihui (Heaven and Earth Society), ancient Ming Dynasty beacon towers, reservoirs, ecological farms, as well as the surrounding lush mountain landscapes. The project primarily develops a religious culture zone, a farmhouse leisure zone, a sports and recreation zone, an ecological agriculture landscape zone, a water park leisure zone, and a dense forest exploration and forest conservation zone.

Fengshan Ecological Park is a public, open-access park that integrates pilgrimage, leisure, and eco-tourism. The core scenic area of Fengshan Ecological Park is the Jinguangming Temple Cultural Ecological Park. Once completed, the project will combine eco-tourism, wellness and retirement, Buddhist pilgrimage, calligraphy and painting creation, and cultural exchange, becoming a premier destination for local residents in southern Fujian and eastern Guangdong to enjoy green sightseeing, improve health and wellbeing, and engage in leisure and entertainment. It plays a significant role in enriching local cultural tourism, boosting the regional economy, fostering social harmony, and ensuring a happy life for the people.

The Jinguangming Temple Cultural Ecological Park is located within Fengshan Ecological Park, on the northern side of the eastern exit of the Zhao’an Expressway in Zhao’an County, directly facing the Gongkou Harbor of Zhao’an. Surrounded by mountains and sea, the site is known for its outstanding natural beauty and is considered a feng shui treasure land of Zhao’an.

The Jinguangming Temple Cultural Ecological Park is designed with the concept of “benefiting the nation and the people.” It strives to create an outstanding traditional Chinese culture and Buddhist cultural park with “unique and high-end” cultural significance. The aim is to enrich aspects of cross-strait (Zhao’an) cultural and creative calligraphy and painting industries, and to genuinely undertake practical initiatives that benefit the nation and the people, and bring prosperity to the region. The park will serve as an excellent platform for inheriting Zhao’an’s calligraphy and painting arts and enhancing grassroots cultural exchanges across the Taiwan Strait. It will play an important role in promoting outstanding traditional Chinese culture and the nation’s rich Buddhist heritage, actively responding to the call of the Party and government to build a culturally strong nation.

Qiandong Town: Qiandong Town is located in the eastern suburbs of the county town, nestled between mountains and sea, with its western side facing a stream. It looks across the Dongxi Stream to Dongguan Community of Nanzhao Town. The town covers an area of 108 square kilometers and governs 23 administrative villages. It has a total of 124 staff members (including 45 civil servants and institutional cadres, 60 support and temporary workers, and 19 personnel from resident agencies), among which there are 13 members of the leadership team, 1 member of the leadership joint meeting, 2 senior officers, and 2 individuals enjoying the treatment of senior-level positions.
