Scenic Area Introduction:

The scenic area boasts abundant hydrological landscape resources, with the picturesque and shimmering waters of the Jinxi River Basin. Its banks feature rich natural ecological landscapes and profound cultural heritage. There are as many as 213 landscapes in the area, encompassing celestial, geological, hydrological, biological, and cultural elements. The area offers distinctive tourism routes including natural scenery, red revolution history, cultural customs, plum blossom viewing, canyon exploration, and selenium-rich agritainment, making it an increasingly popular destination for vacation, leisure, and sightseeing. Hongxing Township: Located in the central-northern part of Zhao’an County, Hongxing Township is a mountainous area. It is approximately 26 kilometers from the county seat. To the northeast it borders Yunxiao County, to the southeast it neighbors Jinxing Township, to the west it connects to Taiping Town, to the south it adjoins Xitan and Jianshe townships, and to the north it links with Guanbei Town. The northeastern part is screened by the Wushan Mountain Range, covering a total area of 131 square kilometers. Hongxing Township is the core area of China’s “Plum Township” and “China Strait Selenium Capital.” It governs 8 administrative villages and 7 operation areas, with a total population of 16,259.

In the Ming Dynasty, Hongxing Township belonged to the 11th Subdistrict of the 2nd District. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was part of the Meilin and Longdun Precincts of the 2nd District and a section of the Dabu Precinct.
