Shanshe Zhen Shan Ancestral Temple

Shanshe Zhen Shan Ancestral Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Shanshe Zhen Shan Ancestral Temple is located in Shanshe Village, Xitan Township, Zhao’an County, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Originally built in the 16th year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1677) and renovated during the Tongzhi era, it faces southeast and is situated northwest, consisting of a front hall, a courtyard corridor wing, and a main hall, covering a construction area of 201 square meters. The main hall is three bays wide and three bays deep, featuring a post-and-lintel and pier-and-lintel construction, a flush gable roof, and elaborate wooden ornamentation with richly themed painted decorations.

In 2013, Shanshe Zhen Shan Ancestral Temple was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protection boundary: A 20-meter buffer zone extends outward from all sides of the temple.
