Guangping Xiayang Tower

Guangping Xiayang Tower is a cultural heritage protection unit of Zhao’an County.

Guangping Xiayang Tower was built during the Qing Dynasty and is located in Xiayanglou Natural Village, Guangping Village, Guanbei Town. It is classified as an ancient building.

On June 28, 2016, Guangping Xiayang Tower was announced as part of the 16th batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Zhao’an County.

The protected area extends 5 meters east, 40 meters west, 3 meters south, and 3 meters north beyond the eaves' drip line of the tower.

Guanbei Town: Guanbei Town in Zhao’an County is located in the northwest of Zhao’an County, about 50 kilometers from the county seat. It sits at the junction of Zhao’an, Pinghe, and Yunxiao counties. The town covers a total area of 150.4 square kilometers, governs 17 administrative villages, and has a population of 59,025, all of whom speak Hakka dialects. The area has a subtropical climate with an average annual temperature of 22°C, a frost-free period of 353 days, and annual rainfall of 1600–1800 mm. The town has 14,687 mu of arable land and 179,362 mu of mountainous land.
