The Eastern City Gate Wall - Stone Pagoda is a cultural heritage protection unit of Zhao’an County.

The Eastern City Gate Wall - Stone Pagoda, dating back to the Ming Dynasty, is located about 200 meters east of Xuanzhong City in Dongmen Village, Meiling Town, and is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

On June 28, 2016, the Eastern City Gate Wall - Stone Pagoda was listed as part of the 16th batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Zhao’an County.

Protected area: extends 50 meters east, west, south, and north from the wall.

Dongmen Village: Located 5.7 kilometers directly south of the Meiling Town government seat, Dongmen Village borders Zhao’an Bay to the southeast, connects to Nanmen to the west, and leans against Yandun Mountain to the north. It administers only the Dongmen natural village, where the village committee is based. Surrounded by sea on two sides, the village sits in a strategically important location and serves as the maritime gateway of Zhao’an. The village is home to residents surnamed Wu, Lin, and Huang, with settlements arranged in a rectangular layout. There are 204 households and 926 people, all of Han ethnicity, speaking Southern Min dialect, organized into three villager groups. The village combines fishing and farming. The arable land covers 320 mu, including 150 mu of paddy fields and 170 mu of dry farmland. The main crops are rice, peanuts, and sweet potatoes. The fishing industry includes 200 large bamboo rafts.
