The East and West Ancient Fortresses of Hanying

The East and West Ancient Fortresses of Hanying are cultural relics protection units of Zhao’an County.

The East and West Ancient Fortresses of Hanying date back to the Ming Dynasty. They are located in Yingjing and Yngzhong Natural Villages, Hanying Village, Qiadong Town, and are classified as ancient architecture.

On June 28, 2016, the East and West Ancient Fortresses of Hanying were designated as part of the 16th batch of County-Level Cultural Relics Protection Units in Zhao’an County.

Protected area: Extends 10 meters outward from the walls of the East and West Fortresses in the east, west, south, and north directions.

Hanying Village: Hanying Village is situated on both sides of the Chengtie Railway, bordering Xiantang to the north and connecting to Dongxiaxia Villages of Qiadong Town to the south. The village has a total of 1,020 households, 4,430 residents, and 27 villager groups, with 95 Party members. The cultivated land area is 1,951 mu, including 1,143 mu of paddy fields, 808 mu of dry farmland, 12,082 mu of mountainous land, 830 mu of fruit orchards, 6,000 mu of tidal flats, and 596 mu of aquaculture areas. In 2010, the total rural economic income was 52.8 million yuan, comprising 44.05 million yuan from the primary industry, 1.2 million yuan from the secondary industry, and 7.55 million yuan from the tertiary industry.
