Tingyang Tulou

Tingyang Tulou is a cultural heritage conservation site of Zhao’an County.

Built during the Qing Dynasty, Tingyang Tulou is located in Tingyang Village, Baiyang Township, and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

On February 6, 2015, Tingyang Tulou was designated as part of the 15th batch of county-level cultural heritage conservation units in Zhao’an County.

The protected area extends 50 meters east, 5 meters west, 4 meters south, and 4 meters north from the exterior walls of the tulou.

Tingyang Village: Tingyang She Ethnic Village is situated at the border between Fujian and Guangdong, backed by Baxian Mountain. It is one of the more remote villages in Baiyang Township, Zhao’an County, with 624 households and a population of 2,513, covering a cultivated area of 2,300 mu. The village has pioneered a new development path focused on “specialized agriculture, boosting agricultural product processing, linking up with eastern Guangdong, and fostering pillar industries.” To this end, the village has strengthened outreach and guidance to local farming households, vigorously developing the cultivation of Baxian Tea, mushrooms, and fruit, along with supporting processing and marketing industries.
