Huantang Kaiyuan Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhao’an County.

Huantang Kaiyuan Temple, dating back to the Qing Dynasty, is located in Huantang Village, Xiuzhuan Town, and is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

On April 17, 2013, Huantang Kaiyuan Temple was designated as part of the 14th batch of County-level Cultural Relics Protection Units in Zhao’an County.

The protected area extends 40 meters eastward beyond the temple wall, and 10 meters west, south, and north.

Xiuzhuan Town: ① Administrative Area. Xiuzhuan Town is situated in the northwest of Zhao’an County, bordering Jiufeng Town of Pinghe County to the north, Rao Ping County of Guangdong Province to the west, and adjacent to Guanbei Town and Xiage Town of the same county to the southeast. It is a key town for Taiwanese compatriots and a provincially designated revolutionary old base area town. The town covers a total area of 133 square kilometers, comprising 17 administrative villages, 157 natural villages, and 216 villager groups, with a total population of 10,337 households and 61,233 people. The entire population speaks the Hakka dialect.
