The former guerrilla battle sites of the Southern China Region are located at Lianchun Building in Bondu Village, Gao'an Town, Hua'an County.

During the Second Revolutionary Civil War, Chairman Mao Zedong led the First Front Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in capturing Zhangzhou. This played a significant role in consolidating the Western Fujian Soviet Area, launching guerrilla warfare in Southern Fujian, and supporting the struggles of the people in the Dongjiang Base Area. In the process of officially forming the Southern Fujian Revolutionary Base Area, the Eighth Red Army Regiment of Western Fujian of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army carried out revolutionary activities around the borders of Longyan, Nanjing, and Hua'an, establishing an extensive guerrilla zone. In April 1932, the Soviet Government of the Southern China Region was established in Yingfu, Hua'an and Banchang, Nanjing, and a guerrilla force was also formed. Vigorous land revolution activities were carried out, gaining widespread support from the local population. In the autumn of the same year, Li Yuanchang, Vice Chairman of the Southern China Regional Soviet Government, led over 100 members of the Southern China guerrilla force and local villagers to operate in the areas surrounding Gao'an and Nanjing. The group moved to Guide (now Gao'an), Hua'an, and captured Lianchun Building, a warehouse belonging to the Nationalist government. The confiscated grain, cloth, and other supplies were distributed to the local impoverished farmers. They also propagated the revolution and the policies of the Party among the villagers, calling on the poor peasants to unite in overthrowing the local tyrants and supporting the revolutionary struggles in Western and Southern Fujian. The actions of Li Yuanchang and the guerrilla forces had a significant impact in Guide and surrounding areas.

Lianchun Building, the site of battles between the Hua (An) and Nan (Jing) guerrilla forces, was originally a residence of the Zou family, covering a construction area of 2,135.1 square meters. It faces east and is built along a westward orientation, featuring an earthen structure and a square-shaped tulou (earthen building) with a total of 60 rooms. The building has suffered from long-term disrepair, with damaged walls and some parts of the wooden structure corroded.
