The Former Site of the Eighth Branch of the Counter-Japanese Military and Political University is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province and a classic red tourism destination.

In May 1942, the Eighth Branch of the Counter-Japanese Military and Political University (abbreviated as the Eighth Branch of the Anti-Japanese University) was established. Its president was Zhang Yunyi, Deputy Commander of the New Fourth Army and Commander of the Second Division, with Luo Binghui, Deputy Commander of the Second Division, serving as Vice President, and Feng Wenhua as Director of Education. Departments included the Political Department, Military Training Office, Cultural Education Office, Supply Office, and others. The branch operated for over four years before concluding in August 1945. It held four enrollment sessions, training nearly 3,000 anti-Japanese military and political cadres in total, making historic contributions to the development of the Second Division and the Huainan Base Area.

The site covers a large area, with 17 well-preserved structures including the former classroom site, former school affairs office site, former political department site, and more, totaling over 100 rooms. The surviving buildings date from the Qing Dynasty to the Republican era. Among them, the Zhenwu Temple served as the former classroom site for students and the former dormitory site for the Second Student Company. Originally built in the second year of the Yuantong era (1334) during the reign of Yuan Emperor Huizong, it was destroyed early on. The current structure was erected in the 18th year of the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty (March 1813), featuring 24 rooms and one scripture depository tower. The main hall, consisting of three rooms, was the former classroom of the Second Student Company, while the side hall, also three rooms, was their former dormitory.

Longgang Community: Located at the northeastern border of Tianchang City, at the junction of Jiangsu and Anhui, Longgang Community includes one street and 12 villager groups, with a permanent population of 2,586 and contracted arable land of 2,509 mu. In 2007, the per capita net income exceeded 5,000 yuan. It borders Gaoyou Lake to the east, Tonglong River to the south, and Subian River to the north. The area boasts beautiful mountains and clear waters, along with convenient water and land transportation.

Longgang has a long history and has produced many talented individuals, including Dai Lanfen, who became a Zhuangyuan (top imperial examination scholar) during the Qing Dynasty.
