Plus, you can collect the romantic “Everlasting Love” series by visiting four well-known spots — Tiansongpi, Changpi Lake, Qingshui Geothermal, and Jiuxiong Lake. It’s a fulfilling travel idea even during a busy schedule.

Everlasting Love: Tiansongpi Station, Changpi Lake, Qingshui Geothermal, Jiuxiong Lake

The light blue wooden structure of Tiansongpi Station was once one of the stations used to transport timber during the Japanese colonial period. Nowadays, as a historical tourist spot, no trains stop here anymore. Its nostalgic retro charm also attracted the idol drama “Autumn’s Concerto” to film here, making hand-in-hand walks on the railway tracks extra sweet and romantic.

Located in Sanyi Township, Changpi Lake Scenic Area remains filled with water all year round. With its picturesque landscape of shimmering waters and mountains, and the colorful rainbows formed by water jets spraying into the sky, it attracts many visitors. A group of ducks with their beaks wide open and fish also bring lively energy to the lake area.

A must-visit in Yilan for winter travel is Qingshui Geothermal. In addition to its steaming hot springs and cozy foot soaking pools, the most beloved experience is the fun of cooking food with geothermal spring water. The spring water here comes from Hot Spring Well No. 19 (temperature 150°C, wellhead pressure 5kg/cm²), an alkaline spring. The concession stand offers bamboo baskets for rent and sells local agricultural products. In addition to the popular hot spring eggs, many people also cook corn, {Jwhite bamboo shoots, sweet potatoes, and other vegetables. Here, you can enjoy the joy of cooking with thermal spring water — warming and filling at the same time.

Known as a paradise for waterbirds, Jiuxiong Lake boasts serene and pleasant surroundings. Jiuxiong Lake Station has also set up a “Happiness Platform,” hoping that those who visit this nostalgic railway track will find happiness. Though currently less crowded, walking along the nostalgic forest railway trail offers beautiful views of the farmland and the Lanyang River scenery.

The farm operates on a self-service payment system—just toss in NT$30 per person to enter. Here, you can endlessly feed mini pigs and pure white goats. Watching the adorable little animals happily drinking milk is super cute and therapeutic. You can also see various animals such as parrots and turkeys. Get close to the animals and even enjoy dairy-based frozen treats and cheese here—perfect for a family day trip.
