On the 8th, reporters learned from the Publicity Department of the Suifenhe Municipal Committee that Heilongjiang’s first self-drive tour campsite on the China-Russia border — the Suifenhe China-Russia Self-Drive Tour Campsite — will be completed this July.
Suifenhe is a port city situated on the China-Russia border and is a world-renowned tourist destination that attracts millions of visitors from both countries every year.
The China-Russia self-drive tour campsite is located within the Tianshan Changlin Forest along the China-Russia border in Suifenhe, adjacent to Tianchang Lake, about 3 kilometers from downtown Suifenhe. The area boasts picturesque scenery throughout all four seasons: blooming mountain flowers in spring, refreshing greenery in summer, vibrant autumn foliage in fall, and pristine white snow in winter. In the summer, the air around Tianchang Lake contains up to 22,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter, making it a natural oxygen bar perfect for summer retreats. Camping here allows you to wake up to the pleasant sounds of birds and insects.
It is understood that within an 180,000-square-meter area, the China-Russia self-drive tour campsite features uniquely styled European wooden cabins, a parking lot that can accommodate over 100 vehicles, and offers integrated services including accommodation, camping, dining, barbecuing, leisure, and entertainment. Additionally, it has various meeting rooms suitable for hosting small and medium-sized gatherings.
According to the Suifenhe Publicity Department, once the China-Russia self-drive tour campsite is completed, self-driving tourists will be able to rent kitchens in the campsite to prepare their own meals. A small square dedicated to bonfire parties will allow visitors to enjoy Russian-style kebabs and watch outdoor Russian dance performances, offering them a taste of the mysterious and romantic atmosphere of the border port.
Surrounding the China-Russia self-drive tour campsite, there are also several hiking routes ideal for outdoor sports. These trails, beloved by outdoor enthusiasts from both China and Russia, are sure to become favorites among self-drive tourists as well. As part of this year’s series of events commemorating the 110th anniversary of the Suifenhe Port’s opening, a hundred-car self-drive tour from Harbin to China and Russia will allow domestic and international self-drive enthusiasts to experience the unique charm of Suifenhe, a border city filled with exotic allure.
