Shanpao Farmhouse is nestled in the lush, picturesque western part of Mengcundian Village, Damenzhuang Town, Wuqing District. Covering an area of 98 acres, it was established in 2006 and is one of the earlier distinctive tourist destinations built in Wuqing District.

Since its establishment, Shanpao Farmhouse has steadily expanded in size and enriched its range of specialty breeds. It mainly emphasizes green specialty foods, eco-picking, and leisure sightseeing. The farm currently has 10 picking greenhouses covering an area of over 5,000 square meters, as well as 10,000 square meters of green fish ponds for angling. Specialty breeding includes artificially raised crocodiles, wild geese, free-range chickens, geese, deer, pheasants, and wild ducks. The greenhouses grow seasonal vegetables that can be picked all year round.

Visitors to Shanpao Farmhouse can not only enjoy the surrounding greenery and unwind but also pick a variety of pollution-free vegetables with their own hands and experience the joy of fishing firsthand. More notably, they can savor a wide range of game meats and traditional farmhouse dishes. With clean, rustic farmhouse cauldrons and the crackling of firewood, freshly picked vegetables, lively fish, and artificially raised poultry and game are cooked into delicious, aromatic dishes.
