The Dunchi Mountain Ruins are a cultural heritage protection unit in Laian County.

The Dunchi Mountain Ruins are located in Xin’an Town, dating back to the Shang Dynasty. They are classified as an ancient site, covering an area of 42,025 square meters. Designated as one of the first batch of cultural heritage protection units in Laian County, the ruins were listed under official document No. Lai Zheng [1987] 67.

Protected Area: A zone extending 200 meters in all directions—east, west, south, and north—is designated as the protected area.

Construction Control Zone: Extends 5 meters beyond the protected area.

Xin’an Town: Xin’an Town is the county seat of Laian County. It lies 50 kilometers south of Nanjing and 20 kilometers west of Chuzhou. Provincial Highway S312, the Bengbu-Nanjing Expressway, and the Laishui Road run through the town. Transportation and communication are highly convenient.

The town administers 11 village committees and 18 neighborhood committees, with a total population of 69,000, including 16,000 agricultural residents and 53,000 non-agricultural residents. There is 1 junior high school, 4 comprehensive high schools (including 1 provincial key high school), and 13 primary schools within the town.
